FIRST OF ALL.

The Sex.

They are, truly, The Sex of all Sexy and I, for one, am very jealous of that intensely sensual connection they have. Right there -- that is a marriage -- that is for keeps, that is love and lust and desire and passion -- that is who they are and what they are, and they are in this, for real, never wavering, never straying, because they found THAT person. Their best friend. Their soulmate. Their lover. Their Always.

SECOND OF ALL.

At last, indeed.

You smiled, you smiled...

Oh, Barack. You smiled. The spell was cast. And here we are.

really?

{Obama's speechwriter and the 'boys will be boy's defense of sexism'}

Can I just ask how this douchebag still has a job?

And who do I write to, to get him fired?

(In other news of the non-feminist variety... I am interested in writing some sort of Roswell fic. Does anyone know if the fandom is active AT ALL? I want to do some sort of Buffy/Liz epic again, because I am that way inclined. Any thoughts would be welcome!)
hellowonderland: (amanda s // i'd hit it)
Barack Obama turns me on. For realz. I mean, you know, tmi )

Am I alone in this?
hellowonderland: (Default)
You guys?

I am so happy.

He is so pretty.

I can't even.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.

This day has been contained only of beautiful possibility.

PS: I have a crush on Michelle too. That is a gorgeous family.

Holding my breath.

Yes we can.

PS: I am going to post something completely unrelated to the election soon. Yes indeed! (I am)

Obama makes my clit hard.

My goodness, he is gorgeous beyond all measure.

"Fox News even agreed on that, and that doesn't happen often with anything concerning me..." - Obama

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA infinity!

McCain is a fucking whiny hypocrite and I don't even know what to say. I can't even believe he just had the gall to dismiss what people have been shouting at his rallies. So, "Kill him!" and "off with his head!" aren't terrible things to say? MY GOD.
hellowonderland: (palin // anyone can do it)
Although it angers me to see that dumb-shit smile on her face, I kind of love when CNN post pictures like that of Palin next to articles like this: {Palin blasts Obama for his views on abortion}. Women should look especially hard at how SHE views this issue. I mean, we already know that she put her own views ahead of her daughter's happiness, so I doubt the average American woman's right to privacy over her own body will mean much to Sarah Palin.

Not to mention:

From {http://edition.cnn.com}

"The notion that legitimate criticism of Sen. Obama's record and positions could be compared to Gov. George Wallace, his segregationist policies and the violence he provoked is unacceptable and has no place in this campaign. I am saddened that John Lewis, a man I've always admired, would make such a brazen and baseless attack on my character and the character of the thousands of hardworking Americans who come to our events to cheer for the kind of reform that will put America on the right track. I call on Sen. Obama to immediately and personally repudiate these outrageous and divisive comments that are so clearly designed to shut down debate 24 days before the election. Our country must return to the important debate about the path forward for America."

Shortly after, Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton released a statement on the Lewis comments.

"Sen. Obama does not believe that John McCain or his policy criticism is in any way comparable to George Wallace or his segregationist policies," Burton said. "But John Lewis was right to condemn some of the hateful rhetoric that John McCain himself personally rebuked just last night, as well as the baseless and profoundly irresponsible charges from his own running mate that the Democratic nominee for president of the United States 'pals around with terrorists.' "

THAT IS RIGHT! Because, my God, people were shouting "KILL HIM" in the Republican rallies, and that scares the living shit right out of me. How is listening without comment, and therefore, IMO, condoning those sentiments, "legitimate criticism"? Has McCain completely lost his mind?

Another thing.

Why is Sarah Palin so intent on protecting unborn children even to the point of denying abortion to victims of incest and rape, but every other day, I see a new photograph of her smiling over a dying moose that is covered with blood? I mean, seriously?
hellowonderland: (mamma mia // squee)
Obama's smile is gorgeous.

From {Facebook group: 1,000,000 Strong Against Sarah Palin}.

I urge you to read this, think about it and re-post it. Everyone in the world should know what she thinks, believes and how she acts.

Sarah Palin's Resume )

If even part of that doesn't make you shudder with horror, I fear not only for the United States, but for my country, and other countries, and for our children-- what kind of world are we building for them? Really?

At least, I know that in Canada, if in the future, my hypothetical ten-year-old daughter were to be raped and become pregnant, I could get her a safe and legal abortion. Will American women be able to say the same?

Seriously?

The second that Obama named Biden as his VP, I thought, "He's blown the door wide open for McCain to steal this race", and look.

Nauseating, animal-killing, anti-choice, gun-toting, book banning...

THIS is what people want? Seriously?

If anyone isn't voting in this election, I will put on my American suit and VOTE FOR YOU because not voting is just IRRESPONSIBLE! *Yes, I mean it. No apologies.
hellowonderland: (meredith // so much to say)
As much as I disdain Obama's choice of VP (just NO, on all levels), I still believe in him and his campaign and he MUST be President. So I do hope that vexed Clinton supporters don't fall for this pandering crap.

I am Canadian, and yes, this is still important to me. Women of North America, do not think that this means McCain loves YOU. What he loves is an opportunity.

PS: I am still an ardent fan and supporter of Hillary Clinton, however, I recognize -- as she does -- that right now, people need to come together and support the common cause. And that is to kick the Republicans out of the White House. Do I think Obama should have picked her as VP? Yes. He should have pulled a Kennedy and put in his own Lyndon Johnson, despite his misgivings, because he should have recognized, as Kennedy did, that it was the only way the party could be truly unified. However, what's done is done.

Obama for prez!
